Oh, the big ONE year! So fun and exciting!! What a great way to celebrate by smashing a cake!

First things first:

What to bring

1) One "pre cake" outfit for portraits.
Photos will be taken of your little one in his/her birthday best. Letters O N E will be incorporated into these poses. I have an assortment of petti rompers, dresses, ties and hats for you to chose from if you would like something from the studio.

2) A cake!

You are more than free to make your own cake, but I do have a wonderful gal who makes cakes for my cake smashes at a very reasonable price.
Her name is Melissa - with Melissa's Cakes on Facebook.

She is knowledgeable in what I like, and offers perfect sized cakes for your little one.
Melissa also offers free delivery to my studio for out of town clients!

Please make sure that the cake you bring is soft, thawed and ready to be smashed. Fresh "out of the fridge" cakes don't do so well.

You want to make sure the icing is nice and gooey!

3) Lots of laughs and fun!
If you have something special you'd like incorporated into your session please do not hesitate to bring them along too! I love unique ideas, especially ones that are sentimental!

Helpful Hints to help things go smoothly

* Have your child play with something "gooey" before the session. Prepare him/her for the mess. Believe it or not babies are NOT a fan of icing, and most of them end up in tears. If you can prepare your child for the sticky mess they may handle the whole cake smash part easier!

* Please inform me at least 2 weeks prior to your session of the colour scheme to hope to use. I will make sure that backdrops and accessories match your cake/ideas.

* A nice warm bath will be waiting for your birthday child at the end of the session - so no worries about the mess. He/she will go home nice and clean!

* Relax! Let your child get as messy as they want! Let them eat off their toes and the floor!

*You may want to bring a change of clothes for you! Mommy's tend to get really messy too.

Balloons are included in your session.
